Did you learn something new as you explored the United States by piecing together this puzzle? Land That I Love celebrates the 50 states with so many possible images for each state it's no wonder many things have gone amiss.

Land That I Love Revealed:
Refer to box art below for location of each of these changes.
- Alaskan moose (one of the most seen large mammals in Alaska) is now a grizzly that caught a salmon (popular destination for this is Brooks Camp in Katmai National Park and Preserve)
- Mountains (so many to choose from!) are added in Montana
- Bison calf joins the scene (must be at the Theodore Roosevelt National Park) in North Dakota
- Mount Rushmore changes to Crazy Horse Monument in South Dakota
- Cattails are added behind the common loon (the state’s bird) in Minnesota
- Dairy cow is facing the other direction in Wisconsin, #1 cheese-producing state!
- Another tart cherry and leaves appear in Michigan, the nation’s leading producer of tart cherries
- Clouds clear and stars appear in New York by the Statue of Liberty
- Color of fall trees change, and leaves are dropping in Vermont, famous for its fall color (70% of the state is forested, with the highest density of sugar maples in the US!)
- Lighthouse in Maine (there are over 60 historical lighthouses in Maine) is replaced by a moose (the second largest moose population in the US, after Alaska!)
- One more red apple is added...
- another apples changes to green in Washington (leading producer of apples in US)
- Dog is now traveling in the covered wagon in Oregon where the Oregon Trail ends
- Russet potatoes are now bigger in Idaho, the top potato-producing state in US
- Dusting of stars is over the flag
- Spur is added to the boot in Wyoming which is famous for its cowboy culture
- More ears of corn are added to Nebraska where corn is the most widely grown crop
- Quilt barn (a common sight throughout the state) and birds replace the covered bridge (Madison Co) in Iowa
- Race car color changes from blue to red in Indiana, home to Indianapolis Motor Speedway
- Buckeye tree branch (the official state tree) now has hazelnuts added (native shrub found throughout Ohio)
- Size/shape of New Jersey image shifts, and the sandcastle looks shorter along the Jersey Shore (~130 miles of Atlantic coastline with over 60 beaches)
- Size/shape of Maryland blue crab (most valuable fishery in the Chesapeake Bay) image changes as it moves to this location
- Size/shape of Rhode Island image is slightly larger, and a fish is jumping out of the Atlantic Ocean along the sandy shores (smallest state has 400 miles of coastline!)
- Size/shape of Delaware image changes (known as the Diamond State)
- California image changes size/shape, and grapes (over 99% of grapes commercially grown in US) are removed, now showing a surfboard scene (most surfing locations along the Pacific Ocean)...
- Arizona moves to the right of California with a different cactus (cacti are found in many places in the state, including national parks, regional parks and the Sonoran Desert)
- Land of the Free new image appears here (right side of CA)
- Home Sweet Home image is replaced with Arizona image (from location #26)
- Nevada moves to location #30, and state’s iconic bighorn sheep is looking at you
- Colorado moves to location #31, and the scene changes to winter skier (major part of state’s tourism, known for some of the best snow in the country)
- Utah image moves to the left (roughly location #29); Delicate Arch is the famous arch in Arches National Park which has over 2,000 iconic arch formations!
- More sunflowers join the scene in Kansas (official state flower)
- Cardinal on a branch joins the scene in Missouri (nod to their major league baseball team)
- Top hat changes direction, and cherries are added in Illinois, Lincoln was from Illinois and frequently wore a top hat. Jackson Park in Chicago has about 190 cherry blossom trees.
- Sweet Land of Liberty words change to Home of the Brave
- Horse changes color and has a floral wreath (perhaps won!) in Kentucky, state famous for horse racing at the Kentucky Derby
- Banjo changes to a guitar in Tennessee, known for its music
- From Sea to Shining Sea flag image replaces West Virginia
- West Virginia moves here, image size/shape changes, Northern cardinal (state bird) changes direction, and rhododendron flowers (state flower) join the scene
- Virginia moves here, image changes size/shape, and more American dogwood blooms appear (Virginia is the only state to have the same state flower and state tree)
- Size/shape of Hawaii image gets taller, and a pineapple (symbolizes hospitality and the Aloha spirit) with more hibiscus flowers (yellow ones are the state flower) are added.
- Hot air balloons change positions and colors, plus there’s two more in New Mexico
- Armadillo (state small mammal) is replaced with a longhorn steer (state large mammal and iconic symbol) in Texas
- Northern mockingbird (state bird) changes direction in Arkansas
- Paddle wheeler changes direction in Louisiana on the Mississippi River
- Magnolia (state flower) and lettering shift in Mississippi image
- Image of Wright brothers’ plane (made history as first powered airplane flight in Kitty Hawk) changes to Cape Hatteras Lighthouse (nation’s tallest and most recognizable lighthouse) in North Carolina
- Must be high tide in South Carolina (known for its palm trees, the sabal palmetto is the state tree)
- Florida gator (a common site in Florida!) changes direction...
- and has an orange in it’s mouth! Fitting as Florida is the leading producer of oranges in the US.
